Privacy Policy

Short version: we keep what we need to run an anonymous platform safely. We don't sell your data. Your stories are pseudonymous to readers, but tied to your real account inside our systems so we can respond to lawful requests.

1. What we collect

• Your name (kept private; never shown to other users)
• Your email address (used for sign-in and account recovery)
• Your date of birth (to enforce the 13+ minimum age)
• Your country of residence (for legal compliance)
• Your phone number, if you choose to provide one
• The content you post, react to, save, and comment on
• Technical information: IP address, device type, browser, time of access

2. Why we collect it

To run the service, keep it safe (e.g. detect bot signups and abuse), enforce our rules, comply with the law, and respond when you contact us. We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell it.

3. Anonymity model

Other users see only your anonymous handle (waz-XXXXX) and the content you choose to publish. They never see your name, email, phone, or country. Your administrators see what they need to operate the platform; access is logged.

4. Sharing

We share your data only with:

• Service providers who run our infrastructure (hosting, email delivery)
• Authorities, when compelled by valid legal process
• Anyone, with your specific consent

5. Retention

We keep your account data while your account is open. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law (for example, financial records or pending legal cases).

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Object to certain uses
• Export your data

7. Cookies

We use cookies for sign-in and to remember referral links so the friend who invited you gets credit. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising.

8. Children

Wazzy is not for users under 13. If you become aware that a younger user has signed up, please tell us at privacy@wazzy.app so we can remove the account.

9. Changes

We will notify you of material changes by bumping the version number above and surfacing a notice in-app.
